This is just general descriptions of the different laces, not directions or comprehensive at all. I read through it and came out with no real information.

I have a friend from Lebanon that does such lovely needle work. She invents her stitches--I am not so creative. This book gives me a large library of stitches to use for many types of needle lace projects. I am very grateful that this book was made available. I wish I had a book for MALON, the tape tablecloth technique made by women in Lebanon. It is absolutely lovely and durable.

The perfect book...just the basics! As a newbie to needle lace art this is exactly what I was looking for. Paired with some YouTube videos, I'm figuring it out!

A lot harder than I thought it would be and I feel like some of this is over my head.

Some of the pictures in this book are helpful, but the rest of the book is about useless. The information in it cannot be trusted etc.

love this book- I have not tried making anything yet- but it is the reprint of an older book and seems to be more accurate, specially in the historical description =- than any of the ones I picked up that are contemporary. Small book, nothing to loose, very inspiring!

The depth I'm referring to is the content, of course. I like the book and I will keep it because there is really useful beginner's information on different types of lacing and netting, but I actually was hoping for a bit more instruction on how to do needle lacing.

Love the patterns. Pictures are easy to follow. Very good book.
