I have been searching for a good stranger danger book for a while now. I recently looked at The Berenstain Bears stranger book that is recommended by many but didn’t like that one at all. “Not Everyone Is Nice” was a good buy......given the difficult subject it’s an easy read and not scary. My 8 y/o liked this book a lot and it promoted a good deal of discussion. Teaching children to be cautious around strangers is important and necessary especially in this country. I found this book to be a good resource and tool for a parent with kids ages 4 to 8.

I would absolutely not recommend this book. My issue is that this book has many pages about a little girl and a stranger conversing, way too much of it is focused on this and my first thought was that it makes it super confusing for children to even get that far with strangers. I have been buying kids books for 12 years and this by far is the worst one yet. Too confusing for kids.

Purchased this for my 6 year old daughter. Wish I had known about this book about two years earlier (long story short - a man successfully got my daughters attention quietly while she was riding on the front of my grocery cart and she went directly to him - yes, I got her to come back to me). Since then, she will not speak to anyone until she looks at me for approval. This book did an outstanding job telling a story in a way that she could understand. I would recommend this book to any child at an earlier age that is old enough to go with a stranger.

Great book for helping kids understand the danger of strangers. Even if young ones don't fully understand the depth of the danger, if they come across a situation such as the one depicted, I am quite certain they will think about what was said in the book before making a decision such as to get into a car with someone. This is really a must read for all children.

I thought it was good for the toddlers and younger children. It's not. If you have a 4 year old or under, don't purchase. They don't understand and the book is too complicated. If the child is old enough- yes, its nice.

Terrible layout for Kindle. The pics are super tiny and the sentences are on the next page, every.single.time. Buy the paperback, don’t waste money on the kindle edition. Awful.

This will be too long to keep my almost 4 year old's attention. I will probably hang on to it until he is 5 and then read it. Still looking for a book appropriate for his age.

This book is excellent for helping children understand the seriousness of talking to strangers. As an elementary school counselor, I have been reading it to students in grades K and one every year for several years now. It covers the basic rules for safety and also holds the interest of the students. I will probably use it for years to come.
